Design Requirements

This new contextual seniors’ residence was located on a challenging site in the Central Kootenays. The property contained 40 two- and three-bedroom apartments.

Solution

The architecture of this project drew from the industrial, residential and institutional vernacular of the region. The building was designed with community gathering spaces spread generously throughout, creating a well-considered and comfortable retirement community.
